Affection Tables
A simple gesture, and a memory that stays - with recipe to make at home
On Mother's Day, we like to think that the first gesture is the one that touches most: a note on the bedroom door, a table set with care, a warm cake of surprise.
It's like this
we start
this special
day.
MARBLE CAKE
(recipe for 10 servings)
We chose a classic from our affectionate kitchen: the marble cake, perfect to serve still warm, at breakfast time. Simple, beautiful, and with the taste of childhood.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- ½ cup of milk
- ½ cup of cocoa powder
Preparation
- In a bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until it forms a clear cream.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, batendo bem após each addition.
- Mix the sifted flour with the baking powder and the milk, delicately until the mixture is homogeneous.
- Separate 1/3 of the dough and mix cocoa powder.
- In a bowl, alternate spoonfuls of the clear dough and the dough with cocoa powder.
- With a fork, make smooth movements on the dough to form the marble effect.
- Bake at medium heat (180°C), preheated, for about 40 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
Serve with coffee passed at the hour
- and a good company nearby.
For this Mother's Day, we created a collection of pieces for the breakfast table - between dishes, braziers and small gestures of affection.
