All About The Weather
The winter has come, and with it, a natural desire of our body to slow down.
It is the season of the year that reminds us to look at the balance of our doshas, as Ayurveda teaches us: welcoming the season in a way that it brings balance and well-being to us.
According to Ayurvedic philosophy, each season asks something different of us. The winter, for example, calls us to introspection, calm and rest. To enjoy this energy not only in our daily habits, but also in the spaces we live, can bring a better feeling of harmony, and we dare to say that changing a lot the way we feel in our homes.
In the psychology of colors, winter is marked by tones that remind of comfort, warmth and introspection. Tones terracotta, already present in our palette, help us create an atmosphere of tranquility and stability. Already the warmer tones, like cinnamon, burnt red and brick, activate a greater sense of warmth.
Now is the ideal moment to slightly adapt our house to these colors, they are throw pillows, flowers, books that change place - and pieces that transform into the living spaces we call home, that help us anchor to the new season. It is not necessary to have everything new, but you can enjoy the process of experimenting.
The terracotta, for example, is perfect for rest, while the warmer tones can be used to stimulate conversation and conviviality around a table.
Notice them.
Besides receiving the season in our house, daily rituals can also accompany the change of season.
WINTER ASKS FOR MORE WARMTH, CARE AND MOMENTS OF RELAX AND INTROSPECTION.
Here are some practices that can transform this winter into a new experience of well-being:
-
Tea Rituals:
Retome the habit of tea. Teas of ginger, cinnamon and spices like cloves and cardamom warm not only the body, but also the soul, this we learn from Ayurveda. Renew the playlist for a slower and more introspective rhythm of the winter. Give thus the welcome to the season.
-
READING:
Winter is the season to immerse yourself in books that bring depth and reflection. Choose classic literature or works that stimulate inner growth - nourish from within this winter.
-
Essential oils:
Lavender can be present in the house to promote relaxation or even to re-energize the environment on the darker days.
-
RESPIRATION PRACTICES:
Simple breathing practices can be used to ease the mind and body. Try dedicating some minutes of the day to deep breathing, focused on the present moment, and feel how your body responds.
We wish you a calm, happy and full of love season, in all its forms.
