Between Tales & Matter

Nara Ota, brazilian designer who adores Theodora, returns to our curatorial space with pieces that go beyond objects - with her restless mind, the jeweler turns tales into matter.

I have an restless nature and live aspiring new forms of exploring my productions

- NARA OTA

Between myths, infant tales and archetypes, suas criações surgem como pequenos portais para universos íntimos, sempre guiados por um olhar delicado, detalhista e curioso.

In a new series for TH, Nara revisits stories and infant tales known from our childhood, transforming each symbol into a kind of collectible piece for the house.

In the interpretation of the Tower of Babel, Nara speaks about the search for overcoming and for the strength of achieving objectives, even when the world seems confused or fragmented. The mini houses and gold-plated stairs transform into symbols of persistence, narrating the courage of who goes up step by step.

The João and the Beanstalk re-reading rescues the classic child tale in which magical beans grow and lead João to the solution of his problems. Here, the piece takes shape in wood, with minimal details in gold-plated brass - a silent reminder that unexpected paths can lead us beyond.

Finally, the Caterpillar, inspired by the symbol of Oxalá, the most important Orixá of African religions. An archetype of calm and protection: the shell that shelters, quiets, welcomes. In wood and details bathed in gold, the piece invites to remember that the refuge is always inside.

Each creation of designer Nara Ota, and also jeweler, reminds us that the house is not just a physical place ? but a living space, full of layers, silences and stories, that can be discovered in perfect installations at home.

It is art, stories, and poetry, in the most ludic form of living - for those who choose to live surrounded by good stories.
