Arraia Series
It was from an almost intuitive gesture, the desire to work steel with delicacy, that the Arraia trays were born.
The name reflects its shape and the purpose behind its creation.
The idea was simple, yet challenging: to transform a material associated with rigidity into something light, almost ethereal. A piece that, when resting on the table, seems ready to detach
and float away.
The result is an organic design, with gently curved edges that creates a sense of continuous movement. Like a stingray gliding close to the sand, the piece seems to float on the surface.
It was from this resemblance that it was given the name "Arraia" (Stingray), a meeting point between form, nature, and imagination.
To bring a playful character to the object, the feet were attached with magnets?a subtle yet surprising detail designed to invite interaction.
The Jequitibá wood handles serve as a natural counterpoint to the metal. Warm to the touch, they introduce a sensory dimension that balances the coolness of steel and brings the piece closer to the home and its daily rituals.
Each material fulfills its role with precision: steel brings visual lightness, wood adds warmth, and the magnetic system introduces movement.
The result is a piece that goes beyond the function of serving, becoming a small exercise in balance between matter and imagination.
