SUN IN SCORPIO

On October 23, at 6:38 a.m., the Sun enters Scorpio, beginning one of the most intense and transformative seasons in the astrological calendar.

After its passage through Libra, which invited us to understand balance, the beauty of encounters and the delicacy of relationships, Scorpio leads us into deeper territory: where our truths, our desires and our fears reside.

It is time to look within, recognize what needs to be transformed and understand that not everything that ends represents a loss.

Sometimes, it is simply life making room for what we are ready to become.

Scorpio is a fixed water sign, traditionally ruled by Mars and, in modern astrology, also associated with Pluto.

  • Its nature brings together emotional depth, intensity, intuitive perception and an extraordinary capacity for regeneration.
  • Unlike the water of Cancer, which protects, or the water of Pisces, which dissolves boundaries, Scorpio's water runs deep and transforms.
  • Its energy invites us to recognize the emotions that remain hidden, the bonds that need to be revisited and the patterns we repeat, often without realizing it.
  • In its most conscious expression, Scorpio teaches us to move through change without losing our essence, to replace control with trust and to understand vulnerability as a form of strength.

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW

The sky this season.

Scorpio season in 2026 begins under a particularly introspective astrological configuration.

Venus, the planet associated with affection, values and what we consider precious, has been retrograde since October 3, initially in Scorpio.

This movement symbolizes a deeper reassessment of the way we love, desire, form bonds and recognize our own worth.

As the Sun and Venus meet during the transition from October 23 to 24, a moment symbolically connected to Venusian rebirth occurs: the inferior conjunction, when Venus passes between Earth and the Sun.

In astrological tradition, this moment is associated with the renewal of desires and the discovery of new perspectives on love and worthiness.

On October 24, Mercury begins its retrograde motion in Scorpio, inviting us to revisit conversations, thoughts and truths that may have been left along the way.

Rather than seeking immediate answers, this transit symbolically favors investigation, listening and observing what emerges from the unconscious.

Pluto, one of Scorpio's modern rulers, has just resumed its direct motion in Aquarius, adding a reflection on power, autonomy and the transformation of the structures that support our collective life to the season.

And on the night of October 25 in Brazil, the Full Moon on the Taurus–Scorpio axis illuminates one of the zodiac's great polarities: security and surrender, permanence and transformation, matter and emotion.

Taurus asks what we need to preserve, while Scorpio asks what we need to let go.

Scorpio reminds us that the deepest transformation does not happen when we change who we are, but when we have the courage to recognize all that we have always been — including the parts we learned to hide.

Scorpio is also often associated with the phoenix, the mythological symbol of death and rebirth. It reminds us that life does not renew itself only when it blooms.

Often, everything begins again in unseen depths.
