The Travel Memo

The art of taking a break.

We know that industries and markets are in constant transformation, and the travel industry is no exception.

In the search for destinations for disconnection and increasingly unique and exclusive experiences, our list of upcoming destinations has brought together a compilation of unique and exclusive experiences in floating hotels and the return of train routes across Europe.

If you feel influenced by the same destinations, it's not by chance, this is the movement that has been happening in the travel universe.

THE FLOATING HOTEL

Beyond the traditional cruise, smaller boats with the hospitality we love like the Ritz-Carlton's Yacht Collection and Explora Journeys have launched new destinations and redefine what we imagine as travel shared in small, customized experiences a perfect balance.

TRAIN TRAVEL IS BACK

Not by chance, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express continues to be, after decades, a symbol and portrait of long train journeys. Even its photos are pure nostalgia, of old ways of traveling, and remains at the top of our list of destinations in radar with the Istanbul-Paris route, passing through Budapest.

The Orient Express prepares for 2027 with iconic routes: Venice, Amalfi Coast, Firenze, and Portofino, with an immersion in Italian dolce vita.

On the other side of Europe, also enters this list of routes, the Belmond British Pullman and the Royal Scotsman which rewrite the meaning of crossing Scotland or arriving in London by train.

In Japan, the Seven Stars is the only train with a seven-star classification in the country, passing through art destinations aboard and itineraries that include walks in Kyushu forests. The new luxury of contemplation, with the hospitality and care that only Japan delivers.

The list doesn't end, as we also include the The Maharajas’ Express, on our bucket list of trains in India.

Part of this movement may be a reflection of the relentless search for an exclusive experience. The more achievable it becomes, the more the travel industry reinvents itself. Whats next?
