What do you like most about the vases you create?
N: The unusual shapes that appear during the creation/production process generate a sensation of surprise that fascinates me.

What has been the most challenging part of your job so far?
N: Every new collection is a new challenge. The degree of difficulty of execution increases and so I challenge myself, leaving my comfort zone and looking for new forms and new techniques. This testing period that precedes the launch of the collections is always quite challenging.

What other artists most inspire you?
N: The universe of ceramics/porcelain is infinite. An extremely versatile raw material. This sea of possibilities inspires and instigates me a lot. Here are the names of some artists who exude creativity, daring and authenticity: Kaori Kurihara, Alberto Bustos, Megan Bogonovich, Claudia Fontes, Patrícia Shone, Hanna Heino, among others.

A work of yours that you love the most and why?
N: There is no specific work that I love the most, I am always in love with new collections. I get very involved in each process and intensely experience each creation. When passion ends, it's time to make room for new creations and so I'm always updating my list of favorite pieces.

Three objects of yours that you do not give up at home?
N: At home I only have my oldest pieces, which were made in ceramics, right at the beginning of my career, before I started working with liquid porcelain and plaster molds, as I do today. After I incorporated the plaster mold in the production, I was able to let go of the pieces and I feel pleasure in selling them and knowing that they are spreading around the world.

How is your creative process? What do you do to seek creativity?
N: The creative process comes from the natural flow that drives our daily lives. In this daily life is the constant work in the studio (always open to new possibilities), the walks through the woods (watching carefully the transformations of nature), the conversations and the daily interaction between mother and daughter (Luiza is my partner responsible for the visual identity of the brand, commercial and participates in the creation of new collections).

And to have fun, what do you like to do most?
N: I enjoy being with my grandchildren and watching their growth and discoveries daily. I like to take care of and walk with my dog, a Malinois shepherdess, very beautiful and polite. I like to travel and experience unknown places.
