Art Therapy

Like the Greek philosopher Tales de Mileto, the plastic artist Patrícia Caparelli believes that everything begins in water, and that, like her, her process with watercolor happens: silent, fluid, fertile, unexpected, at her own pace, with the possibility of transformation constant.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Patrícia Carparelli reconnected deeply with herself when she became a mother, and pursued a career as an artist to honor her true passion. Born in São Paulo, she holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Faculty of Fine Arts and a postgraduate degree in Art Therapy from the Instituto Sedes Sapientiae. She participated in several individual and group exhibitions, winning medals for her contemporary creations, including installations that seek the three-dimensionality and transformation that painting can make in each environment.

Always seeking to understand herself through painting, the artist understands the colors displayed in the painting as symbols of the unconscious - also represented by the water element. It is not by chance that our sensation from certain arts comes from this place of identification with the emotions transmitted on screens.

"The blank canvas is an internal process, of me with myself, the moment where I perceive myself and observe which colors come and which do not. From layer to layer, the organic and abstract shapes of the brush emerge and I start a ritual of self-knowledge and healing. The time of water shows that everything has its time, everyone has their time, and each emotion too. Each painting represents the process of a feeling, and it can last hours, or months." Often doing the exercise of visualizing and drawing her body, Patrícia finds in colors a way to channel intentions over the parts she seeks to access, starting from the thought that each organ can somatize a repressed emotion and, therefore, represent a color. and energy.

The dishes were specially chosen to be part of the structure of the work, since, like the colors, they nourish, bring us emotions, and represent a visual and gustatory moment that only a moment around the table gives us.
