Emotion as a guide
When we need to make difficult decisions, we soon think of putting emotions aside. But is this the ideal way?
Recently we read a Harvard Business article that invited us to look at our emotions in a decision -making process, and we came to share the exercise that surprised us and managed to change our perspective on the subject:
-
Think about which decision we need to make
-
Identify how we feel about her
-
NAME WHAT IS THE EMOTION We are feeling
-
Understand why and where this emotion comes from
-
Establish the consequences of all possibilities
-
Visualize how we would feel with each one of them
When we wondered what is actually at stake from what we feel, and also from everything we would like to feel, the ways to follow are much clearer, and we learn that our emotions can be answers, and not barriers.
