SUSTAINABLE CHOICES
As at TH, inside our house it would be no different: we also seek to take care of our planet, always looking for choices that seek to look to a conscious future and building, increasingly, a curatorship that values national designers, small artisans and sustainable products and handmade.
Today, on Conscious Consumption Day, we decided to share with you one of our simplest and most favorite habits, for you who also want to join us and dispose of waste more consciously, reducing waste and avoiding problems for the environment:
COMPOSTING
-
use a small trash can, perfect for city dwellers, with an airtight lid to neutralize odors -
start with dry twigs and leaves or dry papers, napkins and coffee filters, which help keep moisture inside the container -
alternate these dry materials with organic waste -
mix your compost at least 1x a week, also to help prevent odors -
when the container is full, freeze until you dispose of it properly
If you don't want to take the deposit to a composting site, how about using the material as compost in your own garden at home, starting with growing herbs and spices?
Herbs
-
Lots of light and heat -
Harvest every 2-3 weeks -
Small space
Green leaves
-
Lots of light but more cold tolerant -
Rapid growth -
Harvest and replant
We also separate objects that can encourage you to start this harvest, which you can find below.
