Writing Retreat
Our retreats sometimes take the form of a warm blanket, a mid-afternoon tea break, a pattern that comforts, a meditation, and often a text.
When we discover on paper and pen not only a challenge for our brain and emotions, but also a moment of reflection and self-knowledge, we begin to increasingly incorporate the habit into our routine.
Like any practice, it's an exercise that requires attention and discipline, but it's worth all the self-care and creativity it rescues - especially on weekends that ask for introspection, calm and reconnection.
FIRST STEPS
Whether with a view of the city, or in the calm of nature, a space where we feel safe and comfortable is always the ideal place to start our writing retreat.
Whatever we decide to bring to our table, like a pile of books by authors we admire or inspiring quotes, we like to prepare our corner, avoiding placing objects that distract us, but those that inspire us to have a good time. and creative.
Our Essentials
At this point, everything is worth - even descriptions of recent scenes or meetings. But when we do not know as well as or where to start, we seek to record what brings us insights from our Values , after all, it's always good Remember how we move in our lives, and what we consider most important.
You can start by writing about:
-
your ideal morning routine, down to the smallest detail (what time do you wake up, how do you wake up, what coffee do you drink?) -
your future, considering who you want to become ("am I?") -
the people you are inspired by and with whom you connect -
your favorite art programs (films, books, exhibitions?) and how you feel or why you like them -
Your cycle of friendships (if it is small, if you have common characteristics, family members involved?) -
Your behavior on the Internet: the buttons that draw you attention, your screen time, those saved on Instagram -
moments or news that make you feel discouraged -
aspects of your life and what you want/want most within each of them
And most importantly, enjoy the process and release expectations. That's the beauty of creativity!
