From the Founder
Behind every newsletter, I am always there, but not always the subject is personally interesting.
We follow requests for content on social media, the biggest openings and readings and so we mold our schedule with everything we believe is worth sharing, except when a trip comes up, and robs the day's schedule, with our look of finds, addresses, points of view or cultural agenda of that place, and nothing more just.
This week, the date we celebrate 14 years of TH, I will rob the schedule of these newsletters once again, to share some interests.
My reading this week has been about detoxification and body cleansing programs. Wellness has been a long-standing passion and you know it, but it's in this chapter in the last few months.
After listening to some podcasts, testing programs, conversing a lot, and reading some books like Atomic Habits, Dopamine - the molecule of desire, The Revolution of Glucose, The 7 Levels of Consciousness, and Clean, I compiled what I learned recently in a summary to be shared.
**Remembering that I am not an expert or a student, just an interested person in the topic, and this space, has no greater value than the conversation circle that can provide us:
Try to leave a 12-hour interval between the last meal of a day and the first meal of the following day.
Drink enough pure water to urinate frequently, especially during fasting.
Move. Walk. Prefer stairs. Incorporate more movements into your day, whenever possible and for as long as you can. Park your car two blocks from your destination.
Attend to daily evacuations, and if possible also at night.
Rest. Sleep enough. And breathe deeply the entire day, this alkalizes the body and reduces stress.
Alkalize your body more in your lifestyle.
Lubrify. Drink two tablespoons of olive oil tea every night before bed (I have already tested ghee with vegetable milk and it was also magical).
Do 5-minute meditation exercises. Clean your mind and emotions as clean your body.
Skin brushing. Spend a few minutes removing dead epithelial cells before taking a shower.
Hot-cold bath. In the shower, alternate between hot and cold water to stimulate circulation and detoxification.
Infrared sauna. Sweat profusely whenever possible, and at least once a week.
Get a massage once a week, if your schedule and budget allow.
Include magnesium in your diet (with a doctor), it not only collaborates in the cleaning but allows our body to return to its natural state and more powerful state of recovery and energy.
Laugh loudly. Try doing something every day that makes you laugh loudly. This alters the body's chemistry for better and reduces stress.
Eat more garlic, it seems strange but it purifies the prana, eliminates toxins, improves metabolism. You can also consume garlic capsules;
Express your artistic side. Dance, sing, play instruments, paint, make sculptures. This will activate the right side of your brain and imprint this experience even more strongly in the part of the brain that is most involved with instincts.
All this thinking about habits that contribute, connect, and resonate naturally with you, not with performance.
These are my insights, which can be better adapted with the medical perspective of someone who accompanies you.
To Read
Not only detox has been our reading, some titles that interest us are already on the list for the next reading.
1. Radical Compassion
Tara Brach
A book about the practice of self-compassion as a path to transform the way we relate to ourselves and the world. Brach presents the RAIN method, a simple and profound tool to deal with difficult emotions and open space for more interior gentleness.
2. Normal People
Sally Rooney
A sensitive and modern portrait of human relationships. Rooney observes love, silence and distance with almost clinical eyes, building a story about intimacy, vulnerability and what it really means to connect.
3. Les Choses Humaines
Karine Tuil
A provocative novel about power, morality and ambiguity. The French author explores the impact of a rape accusation on an apparently perfect family, navigating the gray areas between truth, reputation and desire.
4. Três
Valérie Perrin
A book by the same author as "The Water of the Lake Never Gets Sweet", a story about friendship, loyalty and the changes that time imposes. Perrin writes with tenderness and lucidity about what remains, and what inevitably transforms.
