Weekly Digest

Once again, we've put together a roundup of everything we've shared and that?s on our radar these past few days at TH. From chrome emerging strongly, to the French studio Pierre Augustin Rose, a bit of AI, and wooden and gold pieces celebrating Brazilian artisanal design.

Metalia

Since Milan Design Week 2024, we?ve seen the return of the cool shine. Chrome, silver, stainless steel, and polished metals, with their reflective surfaces, converse with an intentionally cold aesthetic. It reflects the search for authenticity in materials, has an honesty that contrasts gold, and works almost as a visual relief.

Chrome is cooler,
sharper, more honest.

It works alongside textures and creates tension. And tension is what makes environments so interesting?for comfort, identity, and the gaze.

For this year?s Milan Design Week, designer Natalia Criado, whom we love to see at Alcova, is bringing a tableware collaboration with Laboratorio Paravicini?the perfect contrast. We can?t wait to see it.

NEW IN: FURNITURE

More pieces have arrived to complement our curated furniture selection.

Each table is an invitation: to live with intention, to choose more consciously, and to take care of what we bring into our homes.

With different materials, textures, and natural finishes, it?s a new dialogue with materiality.

AI IN PRACTICE

I shared on our IG the second part of the video on how I?ve been using AI agents in TH?s daily routine.

It?s about how to create new work units and maximize our talents?gaining time and new capabilities.

If you missed it, it?s worth watching. It?s about how technology can help us, and it?s really not that hard to try.

TAPESTRY IN FOCUS

Speaking of trends?the tapestry details on the furniture by the studio Pierre Augustin Rose, named after its founders Pierre Bénar, Augustin Deleuz, and Nina Rose, are present in all our latest references.

They gain strength as a sensory response to the excess of hard surfaces and fast images: by introducing texture, density, and especially time into the space, these authentic 18th-century Aubusson fragments recreate centuries of history, technique, and iconography in unique contemporary pieces, building a direct contrast between minimalist forms and surfaces loaded with memory.

BAB 2026

The Brazilian Architecture Biennale starts tomorrow, from March 25th to April 30th. Brazilian architecture earns a new space for reflection with BAB?s first edition, an event taking over the Pavilion of Brazilian Cultures (Pacubra) at Ibirapuera Park.

On this cultural stage, which brings architecture to the Brazilian daily imagination, there will be a journey through Brazilian biomes, with a pavilion dedicated to each state and its respective biome.

The only store at this Biennale is curated by TH?the exclusive space for design and décor sales at BAB. We can't wait!

BACK IN STOCK: ART FROM THE CERRADO

Speaking of BAB, we celebrate the return of our gold-accented wooden pieces?talents from the Brazilian cerrado who transform raw material into true art.

They keep the handmade touch in their materiality, and gain a new look with nature-inspired details and gold plating.

These are boards, bowls, centerpieces, and vases?functional small sculptures that turn each piece into a celebration, where natural material meets art.
